Little Red Lighthouse - NY, NY

Second stage of underpainting in progress.  I was riding the bike in the city this past Friday and reached this location at around 3:30 PM to shoot some pictures, when a man jumped off the GWB to his death and landed a few yards away from me.  It was one of the most disturbing things I have ever witnessed, and I pray I never see something like that again.  It has been a little difficult to continue on with this painting, but I feel as though I should complete it now more than ever.  I hope he is at peace.

I actually have to tighten up the letters on the GNX banner on the back wall, but I figured I would post it now anyway.   I have 2 other paintings hanging in a group show at Mason Murer Gallery in Atlanta, opening on February 15th.
