Garden State Plaza - Paramus, New Jersey

These are some images of the Garden State Plaza shopping mall circa 1970 located in Paramus, N.J.

I am seriously considering doing a painting of the Santa if I can obtain permission from the photographer.  I remember being in awe of that massive fellow when I was a little kid.

The colorful painting was on the side of the old Alexander's department store on Route 4, also in Paramus.  I believe it depicts a map of the world in abstract expressionist form.  I love seeing these old images of Bergen County

Wonder Bar - Asbury Park, New Jersey

2nd stage of underpainting complete.

These small paintings come together a lot faster than the large ones, that's for sure!  I should have this one done in less than 2 weeks.

One last sidenote...if I see one more hockey  parent on an opposing team banging on a cowbell, I am going to stick it where the sun don't shine.
I'm just saying................

Me in 4th grade with Mrs. Green

This is a picture that an old 4th grade classmate of mine, Nancy Silverman Flaum sent me on Facebook.

I'm 4th from the left, bottom row, by the way...with the wicked cool shirt and vest!!!

I just wanted to remember my teacher for that year, Mrs. Bernice Green on this historic day.  She was a great influence on me and I shall never forget her.  I hope I made you proud, Mrs Green.
