Lyndhurst Diner - Lyndhurst, New Jersey

2nd stage of underpainting complete...

I am using Prussian Blue for the night sky in this painting, a color that I rarely use but seems to be perfect for the job at hand.  I usually limit my palette to the 3 primary colors and 3 secondary colors plus white to achieve any color that I need in the spectrum, but on rare occasions, I will add a new color for convenience.

I am going to take the Harris Diner painting down to OK Harris gallery sometime next week to see if they accept it and me for representation.  My old friend John Baeder did a painting of this diner years back, and it is now in their permanent collection, so I'm hoping that they like mine as well.  Wish me well...
